So sometimes even the calmness of the lake is not enough to sooth the pain in ones head. This is what I awoke with this morning, and still two hours to medication time.
I did take in about three minutes off hockey last night, talk about timing. I saw all three goals, live on hockey night in Canada! I guess if you are a L.A. fan you are happy this morning, only three more wins to go.
I waited for Susan's call last night, she ended up working thirty five minutes of overtime. When she called, I found out she has to work seven in a row. This is due to staff shortages, and my next Dr.'s appointment. Great! There is a possibility that one of her co-workers, might take her seventh shift. But the jury is still out on this one.
I also talked with my buddy Donald yesterday afternoon, to see what time he was going to arrive. I also found out his plans had changed. Hopefully he will be up this afternoon. I guess there will be no morning coffee with Donald.
Other neighbour's are slowly arriving back. So it's not that I am alone up here, there is always someone to say high to, or just sit and have a short visit with.
Boots tried the blanket game on me this morning and somehow in his own confusion he managed to trap himself. All I heard was this sick meow, like help me now! All I could do was laugh at him as I unwrapped the blankets. Needless to say he has been fed and is now asleep at my side totally worn out. I guess it is my turn for guard duty this morning, headache and all.
Today on my walk I will probably bring the lawn mower back with me and cut my postage stamp piece of grass, headache permitting. And then this afternoon I will take it back to Donald's where I can discuss the progress I have made thus far on Building the Simple life.............................
