Good morning!  Two appointments down and some more blood work to go through.  Plus I am now waiting to find out about some more appointments.  I guess there will be at least one more test to go through, this involves wearing some type of monitor to make sure I have no brain wave interruptions.  Then when I have one of my "moments" and I pass that, then I will get my drivers licence back.
  Because of the severity of my headaches the neurologist has recommended that I try a new form of headache therapy called botox.  This involves thirty one or thirty two injections around the head and can stop headaches for three to four months.  My neurologist was involved with the clinical study with this form of treatment.  He said, they had a pretty good success rate with a fairly low rate of side effects.  Though one of the side effects, can cause migraine headaches.  So it could stop my headaches or make them worse  In the meantime he has doubled my current pain medication.
  At present this new treatment is not covered by medical in this province, so it will probably not be covered by WCB.  We are submitting a pre-authorization to see if it will be covered by Susan's medical insurance.  It works for about seventy percent of the patents, hopefully I will be on the right side of the equation for a change.
  I have had to much on my brain as of late could not figure out why Boots was not looking for his first breakfast at four am.  Susan figured it out when she fed him at six thirty this morning Doug did you leave a bag of treats out on the counter,,, oops!!!  Now all he can too is sleep and snore, oh well he is going to get fat sorry Nicole and Nathan.
  I know I am looking forward to being back at the lake where life seems less stressful.  Hopefully we can get all these tests accomplished this week and get dates organized.  That way we can make it back up Saturday evening.  So once again, Susan and I can sit on our deck and relax, and plan our future to Building the Simple life....................
