Today is the start of another day in "Gods Country". Sun is up, birds are singing, Boots has been fed, and is now outside patrolling his yard space. Life is great! What is this I hear, rain is starting to fall on the roof with the sun shining. God must have decided I needed a rainbow for my perfect morning. Yes there it is, a small rainbow to start my day.
Now to consider what projects I should get involved with today. Well, once the grass has dried out I should wander over to Donald's and retrieve the lawn mower. So I could cut his small piece of real estate, as well as mine. This would leave the weekend free, for me to enjoy with Susan, when she arrives Saturday.
Yesterday I transplanted some trees, and in the process I noticed that my sons sewer drain had shifted. So twenty minutes later it was realigned, nothing that a cordless drill and a short two by four wouldn't fix. I can still do these type of jobs, it just takes me longer. In the old days it would have been a five minute job, this is my new reality.
Boots has just returned from his outside patrol duties empty handed, thank God! There are enough wild cats around here that might starve, if he was to start sharing in the food chain. Yes he is very busy with the grooming process as he stares out the window looking for the dreaded robins as they are back infiltrating his yard. I suppose I should go feed him his second breakfast and relieve the stress on the big baby. That way he can go and have his morning nap.
I will go on a quiet morning walk, perhaps end up at the coffee shop so I can catch up on the local happenings or just sit back and relax, and plan some more on Building the Simple life................
