I am up very early this morning, can not sleep!  Snow is falling, there will be more exercise for me today.  Why am I so restless this morning?  Thinking about the advice my oldest daughter Jennifer gave me yesterday, about starting a second 'Blog'.  She had said, I should keep things simple.  Instead of starting a second Blog, make those thoughts (story's) inclusive in my first.  This would be easier on me, less confusion would exist in my mind trying to keep the two separate. (she's right)
I can pick up the phone and talk to any one of my three children, or for that mater their spouses and just talk and get advice.  Yes, it is a proud moment, when you realize that 'all' of your children have turned into fine outstanding adults.  Definitely puts new meaning to the movie line, "the teacher has become the student".
Yesterday school was out early for Barb, and what do women do when schools out?  They shop of course!  Well Stan that leather jacket she's been looking for, well look at the gas money 'She' will now get to save!  I always told 'you' there were good things to be found in Saskatoon.
I made such an impression on Barb, as to how I kept up with my manservant duties, she took Susan and I out to the Sports page for supper. (wing night)  Shortly after our arrival, my grandson (Mikkel) called to tell me something important that had happened a school.  Something, that his mommy (Jennifer) had also done in grade one!  He got his 'tongue' stuck on a metal pipe at school.  They live in Calgary and the temperature was well below 'freezing' yesterday.  I asked him why he had done such a thing, he didn't know.  He just sounded very 'proud' of his accomplishment!  Something that he could say, he had done like his mom.  Thinking about it this morning, I had told him the story about his mom, this past summer at the lake.  I also told him never to do it, as his tongue would stick like his mommy's.  He even asked his mom (Jennifer) in disbelief.  He is so much like his mother, the little rascal.  Yes, tell him not to do something, and then watch him do it!!!
After supper, we returned home where we spent a quiet evening with Barb.  Mid morning she will be off to the airport to drop off her rental car and catch her flight to Rainy BC.  With a stopover in Calgary.  Susan has the day off, so I imagine we will once again be back at work on our main bathroom.  Perhaps we will also make a trip into the city.  We have some tile to return, it is wall tile, not floor tile which we had assumed we could also use on the floor.  Now we will have to make another decision on what we plan on doing on the floor.  We currently have have linoleum which is in good enough shape to see us through christmas, which just puts off the new toilet install untill that date.  To many decisions, bathtub shower and opposite walls will be done. Floor, toilet, sink?  I think I am going crazy!  I do know I could pick up some cutting wheels for the dremal saw, to be used for trimming the tile at the kitchen sink.  We could also pick up that ceiling panel to finish off the sunshine ceiling.
This way, when Susan returns back to work I could finish off a bunch of small projects, and get well underway on the completion of the main bathroom.  After all Christmas is just around the corner and the bathroom is on top of our list right now.  As we are making our valiant attempt at Building the Simple life............................
