Rain, freezing rain, then some more rain, and then a good dump of snow. Say hello to November! I should have guessed there was something like this building weather wise, with the headache levels I have been experiencing as of late.
The positive thing about the weather for us, is Susan does not start work until noon today. This leaves ample time for the snow-plows (salt shakers) to be out to do their job. It also gives me an outdoor exercise activity to perform, 'thanks'! Did I tell you I love winter on the prairies, 'especially the snow', part! Should have bought that snow blower when we were out yesterday! Yes, the one I was promised I could get for this winter, except 'winter' is not supposed to be here until sometime after Remembrance Day!
Somehow 'We' have managed without a snow blower, all these years. Perhaps this is the year to make the investment, even with a smaller place, I probably still, will have a driveway and a garage! Would this mean no more shovelling? No, a snow blower can not get every where if you want to do a good job, but it sure beats throwing it over great distances and having to try and pile it up. Such a dilemma to deal with. Should we, or shouldn't we? That is the question!
While I make an attempt at doing my impression as the human snow machine, Susan will remain snug and warm inside. Yes inside the house, paint brush or roller in hand (not sure which is her weapon of choice) doing the second, and final coat of paint for the back door closet. Now, depending on how long it takes to dry, and where my head is at later today, I may make an attempt at starting to put the closet hardware back together. Or I might just sit on my hinny and finish cleaning the few remaining tools that were found in the back closet. Then they can be properly put away where they belong.
Yesterday morning Susan and I finished cleaning up from halloween. I cut up the pumpkin, which she cooked and prepared for freezing. Nothing like homemade pumpkin pie at Christmas time! We started the sorting process of what came out of the back closet, to be continued today! We managed to accomplish the basics of what had to happen on our list, hopefully today we can check off a few optional things. It's the optional things that help keep us moving forward, to our Goal of Building the Simple life..................
