This morning is back into our regular routine on Susan's only day off. We had an indoor board meeting to discuss the adventures of the day. The executive decisions have been made. The orders are out.
These orders shall include some painting, a trip this afternoon to the city for my chiropractor appointment, a stop to pick up another prescription for me, and a few more groceries for the next week. This is all to commence after we have a nutritious breakfast! No, not left over halloween candy! We shall send that as a treat for dessert in Susan's lunch at work, better yet she can take it to work and put it out in the lunch room for her co-workers to enjoy.
One of my jobs today is to peel the pumpkin and get it ready to cook and freeze. This way it will be ready to be made into a pumpkin pie at Christmas time. Perhaps this might be something else that I might attempt for the first time "NOT". I'm not allowed to destroy Derek's homemade pumpkin pie!
My other job, you might have already guessed it, is to finish cleaning up the halloween mess. Then I get to follow behind Susan, and you guessed it again, clean up! Then there is the other job's I made myself yesterday, yes, you guessed it! The clean up, sorting of tools, things to put away, where they belong, recycling, etc.! I am totally committed to having an organized back closet! "NOT", a giant hidden junk drawer!
Once Susan has the back entrance and closet painted, then I can slowly put things back together. This includes the closet shelve, which I have already painted. Then the door hardware can be reinstalled, and the by-fold door slips back into place. Then the real work shall begin, trimming out the door and installing new base boards with all those cuts. A job that would only taken me a couple of hours before, that might take me days, perhaps a week or more now to do. If I'm lucky, Derek might swing by and give me a hand to complete it.
Susan is already busy painting, so I had better get off my duff, and start contributing to our day, that is how we expect to get to the next stage of Building the Simple life................
