Yesterday turned into a very busy day for us here. With Derek's arrival the tiling of the main bathroom began. First he showed me layout options, then once a plan was developed the task began. Derek showed me how he would have to correct the walls, as they were not level or true. Once this was established, he (Derek) just took over, and soon rows were forming on the the wall. I became Derek's helper, getting things he required.
As the day progressed, Michele my daughter-in-law arrived to take charge of some executive decisions. (Susan was at work) This was in regards to the placement of a row of accent glass tile. Good choice Michelle, the end result looks great! You see this family seems to get involved in projects in a family way. If it's via phone, Skype, or in person, we all seem to pull together to help however we can.
Today Susan, on her only day off this week! Has spent the majority of her time, cleaning, mopping, dusting, and doing the laundry. Somehow I have fallen down on my duties, perhaps I have been pushing myself, trying to complete other projects. This does effect my level of headache pain, which some how effects my concentration and then some how my memory slips off of the deep end, oops sorry again.
I managed to finish the clean up in the garage today, so Susan's sister will be able to park in style. Lucky Lady, perhaps she will return home and tell 'Stan'. (my brother-in-law) She now know's how it feels to be treated like a Queen! lol. Sorry Stan. This is your advance warning!
As I was saying earlier, yesterday was a very busy day for me. So this morning, instead of starting with my blog, I am finishing my day with it. This has added a bit of confusion to my routine, of trying to keep things simple. So tomorrow, I will try and get things back on track! I believe a bit of routine and simplicity, is a very important goal, at Building the Simple life.............
