Yesterday our kitchen and back entrance, slowly started going back together.  Then to my amazement, I discovered the master painter's wrist had given out.  Susan still has to take the small brush around today by the cabinets, next to the trim.  When this task is completed, and the paint is dry, then I can put the remaining cabinet doors back on.  Then I shall work on getting the fridge perfectly level and put exactly in place.  Today we should also get some more baseboard material moved into the basement. Where it can climatize over the next few weeks.  This way it can expand, and adjust to the humidity levels that we maintain in our house.  Then it will be ready for painting.
In the meantime it will be onto the main bathroom, to try and get organized and ready for this project.  In a perfect world, we should be able to use the bathroom by a week from tomorrow (Tuesday). Remember, I said a perfect world!
Why, the rush?  Susan was hoping to have the bathroom complete, by the time her sister arrives on the 20.  But, I have revised the schedule to make sure there will be a working toilet, possibly a working shower.  If not there is always our shower that can be used.  We still will be on schedule for everything to be up and working before Christmas!
Speaking of Christmas, Nicole is flying home a week before, and is going to help me get ready for the festive season.  Now the plan is to go out and buy a real tree, but I am starting to have my doubts.  I just realized, that every one will have gone home, and I will have been left with the chore of the clean up.  Those needles, and more needles, and more needles, what was I thinking of????  I really must have hit my head, very, very, hard!  My God, we don't even have a tree stand.  Perhaps, she (Nicole) will understand, if I just want to put up the artificial tree this year!  Well, maybe we can find a cheap tree, and a cheap tree stand.  Possibly at Wall Mart when she arrives, I do have to admit there is something about the smell of a Douglas fir a Christmas time!
Remember I said no more shovelling until the 22!  Wrong, it's revised, it's snowing in the big city, not here yet, and the revised forecast is now for the 21, we are supposed to get lot's on that date!  Bring it on!!
I see the day light is gradually creeping out over the swamp, perhaps it is time to get my day started.  My goofy pills have finally knocked my headache back to a manageable level, so it's time for breakfast, and then off to the hot-tub for a board meeting!  Some very important step's, 'every day', at Building the Simple life..................
