Yesterday I managed to finish with putting up the rest of my Christmas lights, including the ones on Nicole's tree.  There are a few clips that need replacing, but will have to wait for a warmer day.  If we get that warmer day, and my finger is doing better.  I may put the clips up for the walk in garage door and put the lights up on there as well.
What did I do to my finger?  It took me about two hours, including clean up to put out the decorations and lights outside. When I came inside my headache and concentration level was not so good, so I decided to have some lunch and have a bit of a rest.  While I was sitting in the living room looking at the doorway, I had this thought. (dangerous)  Wouldn't it be a nice surprise for Susan to come home from her late shift, and see the top outside trim done, on living room side of the doorway!  Well it is done!  But in the process I managed to slip, the brad nailer fired and put a hole through my nail.  At first I didn't think I had put a nail in my finger, (sometimes it misfires) but after changing my bandage this morning..  Susan had already left for work. (she had a short change over)  I guess when Susan gets home from her early shift, she will give me another lecture, about why I should not be doing certain things unsupervised.  Her word's will be something like No or NO or "absolutely no" or just "NO"!!!!!  Then there is the look and the smirk where they kinda want to laugh at you with that twinkle in their eye look 'no'
However it works out, I know she loves me, I got it in my hand in an act of love for her.  Even though it will now be costing her more of her leisure time.  I guess I am somewhat of a big child for her.  With that being said, I will be going to 'Emergency' today this nail will have to come out.  The crazy part of this whole ordeal is with my high threshold for pain, this doesn't hurt.  So why do my headaches hurt so bad?  Still no answers from the medical professionals!
I phoned Susan at her place of work, so she is well aware that we will be making a return trip to the big city when she gets home.  Perhaps now is the time for a quick breakfast and then I can make an attempt at clearing the sidewalk of some snow, thus preventing some future accident.  I would not want to see any more accidents, one is to many while we are trying to build the Simple life..........................
