Today Canadian's set aside time to honour their fallen heroes.  Those who insured our freedoms and liberties.  They paid the ultimate sacrifice!  I believe it is honoured in all countries, around the world.  Some call it armistice day, memorial day, veterans day, and the list goes on.  On the 11th hour of the 11th month  WW II ENDED!  The war to end all wars.  (mankind is still trying to get it right)  Anyways 'Canadians' wherever they are will take a minute of silence at this time , to honour their fallen "Heroes"!  Not quite sure what happened to our clear forecast for today, but it sure looks like there is a light snow still falling outside this morning.  Hopefully it will not interfere with any wreath laying services.
Doesn't look like there is enough snow outside, that I will have to drag the shovel out ahead of me to plow an escape route to the curb.  Just enough to show tracks, this I will look after when I return home from coffee with Donald. (sun is now shinning)
Susan painted out all the corners and trim edges in the kitchen yesterday.  This morning she is going to roll the kitchen and put the final coat of paint on in the back entrance.  Hopefully this afternoon I will be able to finish putting the back entrance together.  Then later today or first thing tomorrow morning the final painting can be done and the kitchen can start going back together.  Then we can at last see the transformation of the new colour!
I then get to move onto the next project in the kitchen.  Finishing off the window trim around the sink window.  This involves cutting back a bit of tile with Derek's dremal, then customizing the new window trim to fit in and around the kitchen cabinets, and sunshine ceiling.  A slow process, which I will take my time at.  This trim then will need painting, before it is finally installed.  This should keep me preoccupied, and out of harms way for a week or so.  Meanwhile, Susan will finish up the preparation work in the bathroom.  I believe Derek is going to come over, and install the tiles for her next weekend.  Yes, one more week to get through, and the war zone will be over in our house, once again!  Just a little to much happening all at once for my state of mind!  Sometimes this makes it hard for me to concentrate, and realize that this is what it takes!  A bit of 'chaos', for us to get the job done!  This is something I have been trying very hard to avoid, (headaches) as we try to slowly move forward at Building The Simple life.................
